  • ITP students want a backpack that looks sleek and modern.

Neeti: clean and modern

Notes from other interview notes:

Interviewee 1

  • high sierra black backpack (prefers to use leather messenger bag because of the look).

  • keeps computer, iPad, pencils, notebooks, water bottle, and food in backpack.

  • would prefer having a side pocket for water bottle and a separate compartment for food (scared of spilling).

  • would prefer backpack be a size that fits laptop nicely - not very loose.

  • would want a comfortable backpack that should not dangle and is easy to put on.

  • would prefer faux leather look, clean and modern style, dark brown or black preferred.

Interviewee 2

  • likes their current backpack a lot.

  • likes that is has a separate compartment with a flap for the laptop so they don't have to buy an additional laptop cover.

  • likes to keep laptop, clothes, makeup, books in backpack.

  • would like a side-pocket for water bottles though (not in current backpack).

  • would like a separate attach-cable compartment that folds out when required for food.

  • would like more compartments and separations for organization

  • finds current backpack very comfortable–especially the cushioning on shoulder sleeves.

  • would prefer it being water-resistant

  • would maybe like printed patterns but only if they last and don't wear out in NYC weather.

  • would prefer black or dark grey look otherwise.
